At PIGCON last weekend a woman approached my table wanting to know all about what I make. I showed her each game and she said all kinds of sweet things, and before she walked away she very seriously said, "I'm sure your games have saved a few lives". I don't want to forget this, so I'm sharing it ❤️‍🩹

Forgot to actually post anything from pigcon but if I learned one thing over the weekend it’s that my game that’s more a rewriting of the novel Dracula than it is a game really appeals to people who look like they were lit majors more than it does gamers

PIGCON vibes were immaculate. It felt like we were all just hanging out at a friend's house playing video games and talking. The showcase was fantastic, I spent too much money at artist alley. The LIVE T SHIRT PRINTING. The talks!! The music performances blew my socks off. Special stuff!

Still reeling from showing my game at PIGCON, what an incredible weekend! The atmosphere, the games, and the people were amazing- the artist alley and talks were top notch. So much work went into this and the organizers deserve all the props for a successful, fun and safe event!

Had a great time at @pigsquad.com's inaugural PIGCON over the weekend! Ran some Confusing Lands demos, played a bunch of cool games and did my first PICO-8 workshop. Looking forward to the next one!

Ohhh now we’re getting into dyslexia and the problems animated text (Most other presentations fixate on font faces and sizes but animation — which indie games LOVE since “juice” was coined — is suuuuch a double edged sword that not enough folks dig into) I feel very represented rn, thanks PIGCON 🌟

YES!! SAY IT!! Dyslexic folks like me benefit far more from fonts which are more readable *in general* — not wonky weights and lopsided counters (If you personally feel like you benefit from fonts like Dyslexie, use them! But if you want to make an accessible product, focus on overall readability)

My only PIGCON regret is that I didn't have the time/energy/space to show off my 1 hour game jam game today. It's so good and hooky but requires a lot of effort for me as a performer. Can't wait to show it at another event sometime
