One of my favorite marine snails on the Georgia coast, the knobbed whelk (Busycon carica), a bivalve-killing predator that lives in sandy shallow-marine environments, but is occasionally seen buried (by its burrowing) in intertidal zones. 🧪🌊🐌

It's truly amazing how a deep sea squid looks EXACTLY like a strawberry. Not just a vague resemblance, its got the right shape, colour and it even has the "seeds." They were even described by S. Stillman Berry! What's more, we're the only ones that know that they resemble each other. 🍓🦑📷MBARI

Steam phishing scams are so elaborate these days. I got targeted by one involving a Discord group call with multiple people talking, a live Twitch stream with both in the chat and real FACEIT to lend credence to the fake FACEIT phishing link.

When I travel, I leave a detailed animal care sheet that would be approved by scientific animal care facilities. It’s detailed & precise to protect the creatures. On the list is “Tell Otis she’s pretty. Very pretty!!!” Idk if that happened enough because she is REALLY insistent on this point today.
