It's not often I see an upside down jelly actually swimming in the water column.

Been puzzling over this swimming beer hop/artichoke for a few days. The video quality is poor because I was at the surface and without my best lights. I think it's the sea slug Cyerce blackburnae, although the swimming style doesn't fit what it says in the description (from just last year).

A manta coming over the crest at a cleaning station on Kume. It's not in the shot, but there were a mating pair of octopuses that crept up to the top and just went out of view. It would have been great to have them all in the same shot!

A nudibranch standing at attention! I think it is waiting for the current to pick it up so it can drift away somewhere farther than its foot can carry it.

Shark guarding the entrance of a cave I call the cathedral. This spot has always felt like a perfect place for white tip reef sharks to be hanging out but it's so rare to see one actually here.

There are three stonefish in this picture. At a rock I call the stonefish fortress. The most I have seen on this rock is nine.

There's something mesmerizing about the way this marauding Acotylean flatworm flows over the across the terrain, like a liquid with frills.

An incredible and strange heteropod (sea elephant) gets a little tangled in its own tail. The fin on its belly is the 'foot' of this pelagic snail. Also featuring a small cameo appearance from a juvenile stomatopod (mantis shrimp) at about 0:52

I think it's bad for the President to threaten to annihilate an entire culture and i do not think you are being alarmist if you take his threats seriously and literally.
