The Blackbird had a frog by the leg just now and the poor frog was squealing - I tried to intervene but she’s not scared of me and chased the frog into the border. But the squealing stopped and she came back out looking cross and empty-beaked. She had a raspberry in her mouth five minutes later. 🪶

We have a family of Wrens - four squeaky fledglings and (probably) mum trying to keep them all fed. Seems male Wrens keep busy building new nests, and courting other females! 🪶🐡 #NEbirding

Can anyone identify this day flying moth from French Alps?

Trying to identify this stunning wild orchid I saw in North Wales last week. The closest I've found is Greater Butterfly Orchid (Platanthera Chlorantha), and that's not quite right I don't think. Right shape and same pointed green bottom petal though.
