Sometimes I will give in to the habit and lay on my bed and doomscroll. And without fail, my cats will come up to me and headbutt my phone out of my hand because they want pets and as far as a social media timeout, it is very effective.

I know a lot of people say they're motivated by spite and that's never applied to me personally. I would say my drive to keep going is more along the lines of begrudging stubborness, where I literally don't know what else to do but plod forward even when I know it will be difficult.
