On my way to the Supreme Court where I'll be proud to support 15-year-old Becky Pepper-Jackson, West Virginia's only transgender athlete, as she opposes the state's effort to ban her from playing as herself. Win or lose, Becky and her family are heroes for standing up for what's right

When you work in largely progressive circles (like, say, entertainment or news media) it's easy to believe trans people are an ideological project being forced on you by an HR department rather than a vulnerable population being victimized by some of the most powerful people in the country

On wash days I use Aveda rosemary mint purifying shampoo then Aveeno Bright and Shine conditioner (rinsed out with COLD water). I pat it dry with a t-shirt then apply Garnier Sleek and Shine serum. I wait precisely 30 minutes then fully dry with a thermal brush.

In previous drafts you would appear in front of the draft board, they would find a diagnosis (or previous arrest) for homosexuality/transvestism/etc (classified as 4-F back in the day), then send you home. I suspect they would just do the same with anyone with a gender dysphoria diagnosis

There’s this mythic idea that if trans women are treated as women in certain areas of society (prisons, identification and how they’re referred to in casual speech) but as men in other areas (sports, medicine and bathrooms) then they’ll be magically accepted by everyone as people. This is delusional
