Deskilling is real. This is the world generative AI peddlers long for, one where people are incompetent without their service. Don't outsource your brain to this shit. You'll regret it.

Since they live in New York, they should be named after famous New Yorkers. So the Ninja Turtles would be named Jerry, George, Elaine, and Spider-Man.

Let Her Down Easy by Terence Trent D'Arby. The most creepy and pretentious song ever written on the subject of a teen girl losing her virginity, with an insufferable false reverence throughout. Contains the line "her crayon world of paper clowns" followed immediately by religious choir chanting.

*sigh* If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it. If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it. If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you. I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.

I can see how this may not be immediately obvious to some people, but "I can't believe anything cool on the Internet is real anymore because AI slop is so common" is, itself, a concession to tech bro capitalism that we shouldn't be making. Don't surrender your sense of wonder and imagination.

That’s what bugs me about this the most. Do you still buy Bill Cosby records? Because this is that level of bad, and if her target were anyone other than trans people I wouldn’t even need to say that.

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind. It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty. Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face. Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

i like to think of the kitchen as the “food zone,” because it’s where you store your food, it’s where you cook your food, and depending on your layout it might be where you eat your food. at first i was annoyed that this wasn’t getting any engagement but then i realized that i hadn’t posted it yet

Someday, everyone needs to reckon with the utterly blasé attitude with which the internet left invokes the slaughter in Gaza as a rhetorical cudgel to beat social media enemies with. It cheapens the suffering, has no positive benefit at all, and turns a real war crime into a meme. It’s disgusting.

The idea that there are no protests in the US and no one is standing up to Trump is proving incredibly hard to kill over here in Germany. It’s become dogma, utterly detached from empirical reality. I wonder if the people who keep talking like that understand they’re perpetuating regime propaganda.
