I fell down the basement stairs last night (I’m sore today but fine) 2026 really said “fuck you”.

The hardest thing right now is adjusting to the house feeling so empty and quiet without any dogs.

Kona returned to the stars. We always joked she was a space alien sent to earth to pose (somewhat unconvincingly) as a dog and learn everything she could about humans. She had so many wonderful experiences, made so many friends, and gave us so much joy every single day. I'll miss you, Kona bear. 🤍

We ended up cancelling Kona’s radiation treatments, decided the amount of time, money, and stress to her (and us) was not worth whatever little time we’d gain. This cancer is incurable and only gets worse, radiation was only going to be palliative. So we’re giving her the best last days we can. 🤍

I know signing art is a personal preference, but if you care at all about people finding you again to sell more or be hired, please do it! So much art on my walls I bought/got as gifts through the years and I wish I could find the artists again but many pieces have no names anywhere.

Things with Kona will continue to be scary and unpredictable because osteosarcoma is an awful cancer. But at least I feel better to have a plan now, we finally had consult today with the oncologist for radiation treatment and think this is the best option for her and hope to get scheduled ASAP.

I keep checking the ten day weather forecast hoping for above freezing temperatures to melt the nearly 12 inches of snow we got. But it’s not looking good y’all. 😭
