We've spilt a lot of ink/film worrying about tech destroying humans after it learns to think for itself. I think a better model is 2001's Evolution - we're threatened instead by a colossal, brainless amoeba that eats the environment. LLMs will never think. But we can spend the world on them anyway.

All of the popular, widely used LLMs were trained on /unfiltered/ data. The datasets are so immense that human filtering is impossible. It's not "hallucinations" or "unexpected". These are artefacts of bad data. You can't code exceptions, because the scale of the problem is insurmountable.
