The heatwave in Europe is so extreme, it's 25–32°F (14–18°C) above normal. You read that right. France recorded it's hottest day ever. The UK had its hottest ever June day. The ground is exceeding 122°F (50°C). People are dying. Tell me again why we shouldn't talk about climate change???

I honestly hate debates going "why Europeans don't do this or that", I don't know dude, maybe because we're fucking can't afford it and the government isn't helping us? They cut so many budget and into the heatwaves ones too so even schools and hospitals don't have ACs.

I'm heartbroken by lack of empathy and understanding of the situation here and in the replies. The budget for heatwave solutions has been cut year after year after year. People in hospitals and schools and social housing have been BEGGING for the government to do something for over two decades.
