I will always think of that football-style inbounds play Michigan just ran as The Dan McQuade Play. It's one of my favorite college basketball blogs of his, and Greg Kampe is a great character.

Greg Kampe’s Been Running The Football Inbounds Play For 25 Years. No One Has Been Able To Stop It. | Defector
It was 2006. Or maybe 2007. Greg Kampe has been coaching the Oakland Grizzlies since the 1984-85 season, which is long enough that details like this can get hazy. But he remembers the play vividly. Th...

Me, joking: I can’t believe we chose “destroying the economy” and “losing wars” over “being nice to trans people occasionally” Conservatives, dead serious: it was a tough choice, but I’m glad we picked “destroying the economy” and “losing wars” over “being nice to trans people occasionally”

My grandfather played for UConn. He died in 1998. He never saw them make the Final Four. My father was behind the basket in 1990. He saw Duke deny UConn its first Final Four. I was behind the basket tonight. I saw UConn’s greatest win of all time.

Dreams DO come true: my photo of the ICE teens spread so far divorced of context or credit that Snopes dot com had to write a whole story confirming that I didn't make it with AI. 🥲

Does this photo show 2 young ICE agents at LaGuardia Airport?
Social media users debated whether AI had a role in the creation of an image showing two "teenage-looking" males wearing ICE agent uniforms.

Recall that Sen. Sheehy, seen here breaking the arm of a Marine veteran, was caught lying about being shot in battle during service in Afghanistan & then made up a new lie to cover the previous one. (He likely shot himself stateside in a national park, but still accepted a Purple Heart.)

An underrated problem in us getting here: the dude who decided that it'd be cool if "million" and "billion" rhymed. Like if the word for 1,000,000,000 had been "fuckton" we probably could have dodged a lot of this mess.
