Yesterday I finished writing my first short story of the year — my first fiction writing in over a year! It’s too soon to say I’ve got my mojo back, but I’m feeling a bit more optimistic about it than I did in 2025. 🤞

There's a big bit of internet feeling bereft today. The kindest man. He properly looked after me when I was having the worst time. He encouraged me to do all the things. My life would have been worse without him. I will miss Michael so much.

Devastated to have to share that @wombat37.bsky.social passed way last night with his beloved Mary by his side. I will miss him so very much, and know many of you will too. We must take care of each other and stay a community. I’m here for you all, and will do my best to keep in touch.
