I forgot to answer this earlier. I’m not sure what I’ve learned in 2025. Hold up, I take that back. I wrote my fifth book-length manuscript this year. I had most of it done within 3 months and I had it fully drafted and revised within 5. This is an incredible pace. Did not know I had it in me.

This is a rough question. First I asked myself, hmm, how far back do I have to go before the trauma starts? And then I asked But wait, am I certain I wish to avoid those horrible things? Would I be who I am now if I had not endured the intense suffering?

Last 2 weeks, I procrastinated on a project deadline because I was being immature, not for any defensible reason. But a different client is a week late getting me a manuscript, so it turned out fine. So I’m in a good mood. Plus I’m taking a few days off, starting now. Come hang out, if you like.

Book talk for November 12. What’s everyone reading? I read Child of God, by Cormac McCarthy, because the older I get, the shorter life seems and the less patience I have for the ordinary when I could have something sublime.

I am writing a book talk about Cormac McCarthy and I am excited for you all to read it. I love his writing so much.

I'm high on life* today. I'm going to finish outlining a crime novel for this ghostwriting gig, cook some good food, and attend a dance class. *a client is late getting a manuscript to me, which relieves me from suffering the consequences of my poor time management last week

So this morning I get an urgent email for a same day cardiology appointment at my local treatment centre. I was surprised (and alarmed) but fine. I moved things around and went there a few minutes ago. Only there was no real appointment. The receptionist said I wasn't supposed to receive any 1/

I have carried a hatred for this man for like 20 years, ever since he opined that women had inferior intellects to men. If the world is just, he will be shunned by his peers. His theories will be spoken of with embarrassment and contempt. He will never feel the warmth of human touch.

If I’m eating out, pho, because they’ll serve it with all the cilantro and various add-ins I don’t gave at home. If I’m cooking, I can make a tasty ramen dish pretty easily.

I rarely drink. My favorite mixed drink is a whiskey old fashioned. Been a good long while since I smoked anything. I first smoked a cigar in high school to impress a boy. It did not work. I’m not opposed to joints, but my body chemistry no longer permits me to get high.

Quite a few people here followed me before I ever dreamed of doing burlesque. Hold up, I’m going to see if I can find the first third trap I ever posted. It is very modest.
