I want to make a big sappy post about MagicCon Atlanta because of all the incredible friends I got to spend time with, but in the end it's just that I think my friends are the best? Getting to spend time with my podcast pals is the highlight of every MagicCon for me and this year was the same.

If everyone I hung out with at my hometown MagicCon leaves feeling like they had an incredible time, I’ll take it as a win. Definitely my favorite MagicCon so far, and only partially because I got to sleep in my own bed every night.

Folks are arriving for #MCAtlanta and as a heads up, the second T is silent and if you say “Hotlanta” you will get arrested. This pains me to say this as I am anti-carceral. But there are some crimes that cannot be forgiven.

For #MCAtlanta attendees: It's probably going to rain this weekend. Pack accordingly. You can take the train to a lot of places in the city, but you'll still probably have to do some walking. I would still suggest getting out a bit further and using ride-share for those places.

I was getting raptured but then I hit a goose on my way up and now I'm just kinda stuck up here. A plane clipped my shoulder and now I'm just kind of spinning. It's cold and I'm dizzy. If someone else could get raptured and just let me grab their ankle I would really appreciate it.

The cool thing about preordering books on @bookshop.org is I get to support local bookstores, even when buying books they may not regularly carry (like @keezyyoung.bsky.social's Hello Sunshine, out today!). The less cool thing is I have to wait like a week for the book to actually show up 😅.

It was really a wonderful first night of the tour

I saw @themountaingoats.bsky.social last night and the show was incredible. Great energy, great tunes. I sang along to a lot of songs I’d never heard before. I was a bit surprised at how much it made me reflect on the nature of God, though.

But based on his writings, I don't think Kirk would actually agree with me.
