as a neurodivergent person it has been SO HARD to find therapists who can work with me, but please know that trying to work with a therapist who doesn't have a basic understanding of non-normie culture is basically just conversion therapy and is actually worse for you than no therapy at all, imho.

i know the dsm is kind of a joke in some circles but in terms of getting treatment, it would be super helpful to me if anhedonia had its own distinction, as opposed to just a symptom of other mental disorders. because i'd like insurance to pay for things like massages, which would be super helpful.
