I don't want to be a trillionair, I want to be able to pay into every gofund me for beloved pets, for every teacher who needs supplies, to every scout troop who wants to go to the big jamboree. I want to pay for summer camp, for art programs, for science fairs. I want to let kids be kids.

Good morning to everyone who sometimes wears headphones in public without even playing music just so they will be left alone, and to them only.

My friend died of cancer. I told him I would take his dog after he died. This is Pepper. She gets along with my two dogs and two cats. She is family now.

I have so many books to move around so that I can try and display things better. I used to buy A LOT of books, but they’re just SO EXPENSIVE anymore. And they do take up a lot of space. I try and only buy books from favorite authors or that I’ve read and really enjoyed now.

I’ve read a book yesterday and I think it did good things for my brain. Read a book. That’s my suggestion. You’re reading when you do a scroll already, why not have something curated and articulate? Reading books makes me calm.

A neighbor called and asked me to pick up a package for her. “I hate to bother you,” she said. “I don’t like asking for help.” Ladies. No. Stop. Asking for help is healthy. We are not meant to be hyper-independent. And “bother” implies you’re being a pest. You aren’t. Ask for the help you need.

Maybe there’s something the matter with me, but I just don’t get Instagram. "Here’s me at a place, doing a thing." "Here’s me. I’m also at a place." I like pictures once in a while but, honestly, I like reading more. 🤣

I think everyone should work at least one customer service job. Fast food, retail, whatever it is. It would get rid of the majority of entitlement issues that seem to be a growing problem.

Contrary to popular belief, children are not resilient, a word that simply means they can return to their original state. They do not “bounce back” from abuse.

People should read. I'm tired of people not reading. Please, if you can, PLEASE, read! Read everything, but especially fiction! Read comics! It will help you with empathy AND make you smarter. Please, read.

I love reading novels. I’m always amazed by folks who don’t read fiction. There is nothing better, to me, than being in the middle of a book that you can’t wait to return to. It’s like living two lives at once.
