Deleted loads of apps from my phone and changed the settings on most of the ones left to not send me notifications. It’s honestly so nice. Phone usage has gone down ten fold. I just check whenever I want to, rather than when the notification tells me to.

Today I am 2 years sober! When I first stopped drinking, I thought it was going to be an impossible task. I couldn’t imagine my life without drink. 2 years later, I’m happier and healthier. Everything is just “better”. I’m so proud of myself.

I’m down at a caravan in Windermere for the weekend. Thought it’d be funny to wake my brother up, so I went down to his caravan and screamed “Can I get a ohhh yeaaah?!” Through his window at 7am. The only issue being I got the wrong caravan, and I was met with a VERY angry woman 🤣🤦

We’re both “jack the lad” types. A laugh a minute. But I see in him what I saw in myself at his age. He’s hurting.

You shouldn’t proclaim yourself to be a “full stack developer” if you cannot write good, semantic HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I think I’ve only ever met two developers in my career who I’d consider legitimate full stack developers. Absolute masters at their crafts inside and out.

I was chatting to my wife last night about some stuff, and she mentioned a principle that her hospital uses called unconditional positive regard, which I absolutely love. It's an attitude of acceptance and support, regardless of what people say or do. Essentially, assuming the best of people.

What a great example of why how we communicate is so important. This is exactly the type of thing I’d actually do.

My wife gives everyone who enters my house a guided tour around the whole place, and apparently, I'm the weird one. "I don't expect you to understand it, you don't get a lot of social norms". Except, I don't think I've ever been given a guided tour of anyone else's house. Like ever.
