Amazing how they want to do that when they don't want to cure trans or cis prisoners of Covid, influenza, diabetes they need their currently-prescribed meds for, heart disease they need their meds for, other health problems they need their meds for, or a lot of other issues covered by the 8th Amdt.

I don't think people's problem with, for example, the paper's decade-long crusade putting a big ol' target on trans people's backs can be accurately described as NYT doing "reporting that doesn't always 100% accord with what advocacy groups want."

5 years ago, there were multiple gender clinics in Texas with large multidisciplinary teams of experts and supportive infrastructure for trans youth to not only survive but thrive. All of that has been completely stripped away in a campaign of hate. They don't want us to exist.

In combination w/the three fighter jets we let roll off their carriers and into the sea last year, this is now >$500 million worth of aircraft lost to stupidity. That's 2.5 years of NEH budget or 50k kids/yr of Head Start. We could afford universal healthcare, we'd just rather blow stuff up instead.

It's genuinely insane that many of the newspaper columnists who cheered us into the war in Iraq are still employed at big legacy outlets cheering us into a new war with Iran.

I'd bet he gets all his vaccines. Trump himself has never been anti-vax, yea he hated masks because they messed his makeup, and he hired antivax grifters because the rubes that are his voting base wanted it. But I bet he gets every single recommended vax. The vaccine against shingles is not 100%.
