I’m just saying, I directed a movie for basically no money that debuted in the 90s on rotten tomatoes and got distribution with no stars attached, I did not get a single call and couldn’t even find a rep as a director. This was not the case for any of the male directors I went to AFI with.

Aside from wanting support so I can keep making comics, I also just simply want to see ppl gush over my OCs, plot, worldbuilding, etc. as much as I do and explain to me what's going on cuz idk either ☠️

I don't know. I wish I did. In the short term, there are milestones. Someone cosplaying as a character I co-created. Fan art or fan fics. Someone digging the crates to find my old work. Things that *prove* that my work meant something to someone. That I *communicated*. In the long term... Nothing?

Whenever someone I Don't know reads one of my books and says they enjoy it, that's success. Cash flow and follower count mean nothing to me. I need to know if something I wrote resonated with someone in a positive way.

It's executing complete arcs just as envisioned or even better. I still have a long ways to go but I have 9 issues in between 2 titles. I hope to build more on this foundation and meet my audiences expectations.
