Zander Cannon | C2E2 E-10

At C2E2 this year I was at the end of our row, and about every 10 minutes I would hear someone very quietly say my name. I'd look up, and it would never be someone talking to me, it was always someone just reading it off my banner, usually pointing it out to their child who is also named Zander.

I dunno why people are talking about politics in art but Hawthorne wrote The Scarlet Letter to comment on the Salem witch trials and Melville wrote Moby Dick as a critique on slavery among many other things. So get used to it.

In the 60s Floyd and some partners formed Vignette, their own company. They went down to the Watts riot and filmed it live. Their footage is the film you see because they were the only people who went down. Later Norman worked for Hanna-Barbera. “It was a great studio to work for.”

Floyd talks about learning how to tell stories and and engage the audience from the classic Nine Old Men, but there was a new burst of excitement in the era of The Little Mermaid on to Lion King - huge run of success. It was very exciting.
