The November 1934 issue from the second incarnation of Mickey Mouse Magazine, which was a promotional giveaway comic series for local dairy companies. It lasted 24 issues.(The first incarnation had similarly been one for department stores & movie theaters, and ran 9 issues.)

Today is the birthday of artist Janice Valleau (Nov. 6, 1923-Dec. 8, 2013). She worked for a variety of publishers, including Quality, MLJ/Archie, & Charlton, and on characters such as Toni Gayle and Betty & Veronica.

Nick Park’s Academy Award-nominated Wallace and Gromit short “A Grand Day Out” —the first entry in the Wallace and Gromit series—premiered on November 4, 1989. (The premiere was at a UK animation festival; it was first broadcast on Christmas Eve 1990.)

I was switching out prints in frames, which I do occasionally, and I found this one behind another print. I completely forgot I had it, which is a testament to how many prints I've bought from Joe Staton over the years. Everytime I go to a convention he is at.

Post-Halloween mood.

Random Doctor Who post...I love Colin Baker. He is just such a genuinely good guy. He went through so much during his time as the Doctor, and had recently experienced personal tragedy before taking the role, but he just radiates joy now. When I met him, he was so kind, just a really good man.
