Since a bunch of folks have asked, I’m afraid I won’t be doing a BATOBER this year. Between deadlines and a back injury that set me back on commissions, I just wouldn’t feel right taking the time to do Batober if it meant putting them farther behind.

My first Batman comic was Batman 232, kids

My 1st exposure was World's Finest Comics 120, the 3rd comic I bought (after Flash 123). I gather I was impressed enough to buy Detective Comics 295, released the same month, which left me cold enough that I didn't buy another comic with Batman, except Justice League, until Julie Schwartz took over.
