Mail call! After languishing in St. Louis for 8 days, the box from Hamilton Books finally found me. Fourth different format for me for Born Again. Looking forward to Chris’s commentary and analysis. Really looking forward (you know what I mean 😢) to 999.

Just finished - Chuck Wendig’s Star Wars: Aftermath. I overall enjoyed this, but admittedly it took me awhile to get into. Had it been a comic, it would have been easier to follow. Once I likened it to the filmmaking that was Eps 1-3, with cuts/edits every 45 seconds, I warmed to his style.

Moving to the reading queue! • Batman: Gotham Adventures 16-30 • Elektra: Assassin (haven’t read it since it was new) • The Further Adventures of Red Sonja (from Marvel’s B&W magazines) • Love & Rockets: Maggie the Mechanic (1st time reader!) Looking forward to these over the next couple weeks.

Shelving - book #4 of the new year. Liked it, didn’t love it. But that’s on me, as I’m pretty out of touch with the modern Marvel Universe. There was quite a bit of recent history that went over my head. But I found the themes and storytelling compelling. Very well-written, & solid art throughout.

Expert textpert choking smokers Don't you think the Joker laughs at you? I was fortunate to have some of the creators included in the Greatest Joker Stories hardcover sign it for me. This would have been at the Chicago Comicon, mid-90s.

Chris Samnee nails this. Just nails it! Batman’s dark determination, coupled with Robin’s acrobatic effervescence, all occuring over the heads of the goons from the Batman ‘66 animated intro. Perfection.
