it's basically impossible to argue with this, they have won significant policy concessions, and there's no reason to think they'll stop pushing now that Labour have opened the door for them

Vance and co. like to insist it’s not “regime change” because there’s no plan to shore up a successor government — the aim is to leave a vacuum that we periodically bomb into submission

It's always striking how readily Trump can change course if he's exposed to other voices. Perhaps the most tragic irony of the Trump era is that Trumpism would not be half as dangerous without Trump, yet Trump would not be half as dangerous if he weren't surrounded by Trumpists

This is my rough taxonomy of how US politics is being reorganised (with each column being one type). I'd estimate 80 or 90 percent of influential news media personalities lie in this spectrum. That's why they seems so cozy with neo-Nazis like Hanania or the Bugmunch blogger guy.

I spoke with 40+ sources for a look inside the Anti-Defamation League. Here’s some of what I found. ADL’s gentle response to Elon Musk’s infamous salute was partially driven by his support of Israel. To ADL, that indicated he didn’t have “antisemitic tendencies.” (1/x)

I had such a viscerally negative reaction to the film "I Care a Lot" and to Rosamund Pike's character in it that I had to do self-criticism to check if I was being sexist in how I treated men vs women as "charming villain" characters. Let myself off the hook when I remembered I loved "Gone Girl".
