This just has me thinking about Spider-Man’s villains - while there are bald bad guys, like Vulture and Kingpin, they’re mostly guys with BAD haircuts: Doc Ock: Bowl cut Venom: Mullet Jackal: John Bolton moustache Green Goblin: ?????

As far as I'm aware, no superhero has a rogues gallery quite as consistently *bald* as Superman's ferocious flock of follicly-challenged foes. Dozens of chrome-domed criminals have made Superman the ire of their depilated deviousness over the decades, so let's meet SUPERMAN'S BALDEST FOES!

A connection I never made before: Oliver Stone directed and co-wrote The Hand, in which Michael Caine plays the creator of Conan-like barbarian Mandro, and a year later he co-wrote the first Conan the Barbarian movie.

and Pere Perez created a wonderful late-‘90s throwback to Larry Hama’s hoo-ha-ing secret agent Venom. It’s a blast.

Ah, this is a bummer. I got "wrapping things up" vibes from last week's issue, but it's still a bit of a shock to get it confirmed. I loved how this series leaned heavily into the youth of today while still tossing in some wild continuity deep pulls for weirdos like me. (1/2)

A producer told me once she has to warn young crewmembers to avoid being alone with Aykroyd. "Not because he's a creep, he's a gentleman. But if you let him strike up a conversation the next thing we know all the PAs will be huddled in his dressing room learning how humans evolved from dolphins."

with peace and love, I'm pretty deeply invested in American comics and Japanese comics both, and I'm not sure that pitting them against each other has ever been the answer. I'm still developing a strong take, but it feels like asking if Cinnamon Toast Crunch is beating cheeseburgers in the polls.

One of the great character actors. The screen always lit up when he walked on. There was a kindness about him mixed with humor that you can't fake. Just one of those greats who always made every film or TV show he was in better.
