As with most things from North Korea, half the appeal of ONE DAY AND ONE NIGHT is wondering about how it came to be. It’s a soapy gothic thriller about a brace young nurse who must protect her country from saboteurs. Completely hidebound and strained, but still weirdly satisfying.

NOBODY is delightful. A quartet of imposters posing as the four JOURNEY TO THE WEST pilgrims seek the Buddhist scriptures and become heroes along the way. Water color backgrounds and a warm, funny, and yes, accessible kids fantasy.
