the jane street bus lane project will have an update next month at the TTC board. much of it is going to be watered down to queue jumps and other priority measures because of intense opposition from car drivers (despite transit ridership being higher than car throughtput on jane). not amazing!

Update: Along the same corridor as Rideau Street, the westbound bus lane on Montreal Road in Vanier between St. Laurent Boulevard and Montgomery Street has also had its timespan expanded! Previously 7:00-9:00, now 6:00-9:30.

Enhanced transit priority alert 🚨 The timespan of the peak hour bus lanes on Rideau Street were recently expanded! Previously 2 hours during each peak (7:00-9:00 & 3:30-5:30PM), now 3.5 hours during each peak (6:00-9:30 and 2:30-6:00PM). Great step towards transit reliability and speed!

rideau station's integration with the city is great - it's not a case where masses of transit riders are dumped onto narrow city sidewalks from subway entrances. instead, this entrance in ottawa opens up to a pedestrianized street that connects to shopping streets, buses, a mall, and market.
