Get your city a mayor who does this. Rather than the mayors so many of us have, who want it to remain too dangerous for most residents to do this because they only represent car owners.

Another way to make this point: Every time an American decides to ride Amtrak instead of drive a car, the US transportation network gets a little safer. NHTSA never says this, but they should.

It's astounding to see the success of ÀVélo! They started with only 10 stations and 100 bikes downtown in 2021. Just 5 years later and now reaching into suburban communities (and I think Nadia lost a digit it looks like 225 stations in 2026!).

This need to be called out at perpetuating sexist policies that privilege bikers without child carrying, errand running responsibilities. Caltrain would never consider banning kids from trains, why is it ok to make it impossible for parents who travel bike to use the system?

So much talk about grandfathers, so little talk about grandmothers... My grandmas worked in the post office and the jewelry store and also had pretty significant second shifts at home (one grandma was windowed at 34 with two young kids).

It seems the novelty and joy of riding in a cargo bike has worn off for my nearly 5yo (and sometimes, but less often for her older sibling). Granted, she's been riding in one for almost five years. But it's still breaking my heart a bit. Hopefully just a stage... 1/2

In 2020, the City of Toronto undertook a project to make a popular bike boulevard more comfortable for people of all ages and abilities. The project: ▶️ Decreased vehicle volumes on a popular bike boulevard by up to 60%. ▶️ Tripled the number of people biking in some places on the street.

Atlanta’s e-bike rebate program is returning for another year! Rebate recipients, who received between $500 and $2,000 for a standard or cargo e-bike, drove a whopping 40% less each week, story via Georgia Public Broadcasting 🔌💡

If I may suggest an improvement

Peace is a climate solution. Energy efficiency, renewables & walkability are peace building in that they weaken one excuse for war.

A small gesture with a big meaning: tricycles are now a standard offering from the Bizkaibizi bike share. By adding three-wheeled cycles, Bizkaia is making a powerful statement: cycling is for everyone—older adults, those with balance limitations, and riders who feel more confident on three wheels.
