Capitalization affects how people read hashtags or how people hear them on screen readers. Use
#camelCase
or
#PascalCase
in hashtags instead of lowercase. You could have
#DoctorWhoRewatch
("Doctor Who Rewatch") or
#doctorwhorewatch
("doctor whore watch.")

I do wish people would treat transphobia as the serious red flag it is, because if someone is repeating bullshit pseudoscience talking points from right wing cranks, that's just as bad as conceding to anti-vax nonsense and undermining trust in science and medicine, alarm bells should be sounding!

the thing about trans rights is that we fight the civil rights issues of our time. nazi chuds have made this the issue of our time. it's not more *important* than other civil rights issues, but it is the battleground of the moment, and we have to meet the moment to support everyone's rights.

Trans people are worth protecting. Not because we are amazing people (although we are) or because we offer a great deal to society (although we do) or because we are fine as hell (we are). We are worth protecting because we are HUMAN BEINGS, and itâs amazing how often that simple fact is forgotten.

Now is the time to be curious about our universe, to be imaginative about all its possibilities, including the potential for humans to live in good and sustainable relations with each other and the ecosystems that we depend upon. This is a time of stubborn freedom dreaming.

When a restaurant brings you soup with a rat in it, it's not just that your soup is ruined. It's that you know the whole kitchen is disgusting. And so it is with Rahm and any other Dem who thinks anti-trans posturing is the way: it's enough for us to know everything about them is filthy.

In regards to hot dog sentience, the bun acts as the exoskeleton with the consciousness in the meat itself. It's the pairing of the two that creates the complete sentient hot dog. This was the first thing they taught us at America orientation. Not sure how so many of you missed that.

About today's public transit discourse: I believe that riding public transit is a spiritual good for increasing your empathy and practicing minding your own business. It also helps you internalize that most people mind their own business, e.g. no one is looking at you.

On the one hand, an industry that makes billions of dollars, provides thousands of good jobs, and produces immense cultural capital. On the other hand, an industry with a barely-functional product that has yet to turn a profit. Only someone bought and paid for would see this as a tough call.

Actually the best life advice I ever got: Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. A half-cleaned room is better than an uncleaned room. Occasionally flossing is better than never flossing. A 10-minute workout is better than no workout. When itâs all you can do to get out of bed, get out of bed.

I donât think itâs a coincidence the conversation around young men is so similar to racism. Someone says âwe need to end racismâ and so often the response from a white person is âdid you just call me racist????â People with more power are so scared about losing what they know they donât deserve.

Last rt: if the current administration is anti-masking in public, you should automatically be pro-masking in public. Masking supports disabled people, makes a more safe and equitable environment, and goes against a fascist, eugenicist mentality. Show your disabled friends you care. Wear a mask.

"The left went too far" in contemporary U.S. politics is almost always a lie and a very convenient way to rationalize moral failure. For example, "MeToo went too far" replaces "I do not care about sexual violence or its victims and I don't want to have to even feel bad about that"
