When I teach print history, I have a repository of little facts I share to help both demystify very old objects and ask students to resituate the codex as technology. It's â¨ď¸ cute little fact time â¨ď¸ The space between lines is called "leading" in Adobe because metal pieces physically separated text.

Someone at the pottery studio had a vase come out of the kiln today that was so beautiful we all gasped. It belongs in a gallery. And all the wonderful women in the studio were so enthralled with it and hyped her up so much - it was such an inspiring moment.

If any of you have any elderly-friendly, diabetes-friendly side dish recipes, I would be super grateful for all your suggestions. Dad is currently hospitalized for extreme hyperglycaemia and the hospital keeps serving him carb-heavy meals so I guess Iâm cooking for him now.

Every Pandora jewelry ad on Bravo is selling their product as a great gift for mom from the kids or a great gift for your wife. So what? She can go out and buy it and put the kids name on it so the dad can feel good that mom got jewelry? Put that shit on ESPN.

The company my husband does contract work for has just notified all contractors that as of May 1st, there will be a 1.5% admin fee deducted from all payment cheques - the only form of payment they offer. So as of May 1st, my husbandâs rates have increased by 5%.

heartwarming video of astronaut Christina Koch greeting her dog for the first time after returning from space. the pup can be seen snarling, back arched, before scampering to its word buttons and pressing "IMPOSTOR" repeatedly, then "FALSE. SKIN. FALSE. SKIN." several times

please stop reposting AI video and AI photos posted by popular accounts đ they probably didn't make it but are being careless, uncritical about spreading it - a reason to be cautious of what else they share if there's no link to a real source at this point that's sufficient reason to be suspicious

New woman in my pottery class today. Pure chaotic energy. Class started last week. She thought it started today - missed the first class entirely. Sits down at the wheel - âfor some reason I thought it would be hot. I thought there was a heat element to this.â Yep thatâs the kiln not the wheel

Your reminder to get weird bumps & moles checked if you are able: I took my parents to their skin checkups and asked the doctor his opinion on a bump on my side during the appointment. He took it and three others off for me, and one of them was cancerous. I hadnât even been worried about it.
