It was reprehensible when people mocked condom usage at the height of the AIDS pandemic. It is just as depraved to mock those wearing masks to reduce the spread of airborne viruses today. Whenever someone takes any kind of step to protect public health, they should be applauded, not mocked.

In 2026 letās normalize masking for public health. If we could admit that with healthcare being gutted, vaccine access restricted and previously eradicated diseases coming back⦠having an extra layer like a respirator makes good sense. Letās also normalize not mocking people who mask!

This š There's no such thing as a serious effort to address the implosion of Canada's healthcare system that doesn't address COVID, and the incompetence of infection control leadership. They made a very big mistake in 2020, and they'll take the system down with them before they'll admit it.
