Fascinating poll on how pervasive ICE invasion was in the central cities. Almost one-fifth of St. Paul encountered ICE; more than a quarter of Minneapolis did. Either figure is astounding & awful; indicates Mpls enforcement was roughly half again more intense than St.P.

A survey just came out showing about 8% of people in Minneapolis had weapons drawn on them by federal occupiers in the last few months. The two visions of what collective action (government) can do, who it serves, whether it exists to help make our lives easier or harder, could not be more opposed.

Please, I am begging people: never again repeat the claim that only two people were killed in the occupation of Minnesota.

Today the St. Paul City Council unanimously passed their own version of Pause Evictions, Save Lives, and extended pre-filing eviction timelines to 60 days through the end of 2026. This critical protection was lead by Council Members @hwajeongkim.bsky.social and Nelsie Yang.

This is the first report I've received of ICE agents performing actual TSA duties. Not good.

Video I obtained through a public records request on behalf of MN50501 shows Liam and his dad boarding a Delta Air Lines flight at MSP. Delta was silent when workers were being snatched up by ICE at MSP, but was a vocal supporter of the Big Beautiful Bill, which increased ICE’s funding.

Delta swore to its employees and unions that it was not transporting deportees this way.

One thing we discussed today that will stay with me is how as regular people we talk ourselves out of demanding what we deserve. Lots of reasons why this is so but it's absolutely lowering the threshold re: public policy. Expectations are below ground & that means that what we "win" is insufficient.

It's beyond offensive. An arm of the federal government - ICE - created fear in our communities. As a state government, we should step up to help in ways that we can. The MNLeg cannot stop ICE, but we can and should pass increased rental assistance to help people stay in their homes.

It’s been a wild morning outside of City Hall – we had two HSI vehicles illegally parked on Minneapolis police parking right next to City Hall. The tow was called and had started being put on the car when the HSI agents arrived in shame, and were booed out by the several people, staff, & CMs.

A day after Frey vetoed pre-eviction notice, two ICE vehicles are parked in MPD parking outside City Hall. My assumption would be that they’re here to meet with the mayor’s administration. We’re still under occupation.

DHS agents are still here in our community in plain clothes scouting out immigrant owned businesses on Central, knocking on neighbors doors, swapping out licenses plates in cars without registration, and driving dangerously in our community.
