Cyndy Martin killed someone whether she intended to or not. That person was alive and now he is dead and I am not convinced she demonstrated remorse anywhere but the courtroom. Anyone in the DFL who carried water for her this last year should be deeply ashamed

I will always speak up against those causing harm to trans people, even if their politics are aligned with mine. I will work with anyone to aid, support, and defend trans people and trans rights, even if they're more centrist or conservative than I am.

I do not believe he is interested in the safety of trans people. I believe he sees this as a way to satisfy grudges and score personal victories instead of addressing major problems faced by trans people in the DFL. Unless I see long-term evidence of change, I will not trust him in the future.

Nick Kruse chose to speak to an incredibly transphobic right-wing local news outlet about his suspension from the DFL for reasons related to the transphobic feminist caucus meeting last year. This decision may materially endanger trans people in the DFL fighting this fight - myself and others.

In a floor debate about the accommodations process for people with disabilities, Republicans got up to rail against trans people simply because the word "transgender" appeared in the statute we were amending. Evey time we let transphobia in our party slide, the GOP wins.

There are broad misunderstandings of the issues faced by the trans and nonbinary community, and it stings even more when the DFL, a nominally progressive party, is unable to lead on those issues. The party leadership must do better to address transphobia when it occurs, regardless of who it’s from.

A very common dismissive response people get when they speak out about problems in the DFL is: “get involved” Luna lays out in detail here just a glimpse of all the free labor herself and others have poured into the DFL to try help them fix their transphobia problem and they still refuse to listen

On September 9, 2025, the Feminist DFL Caucus failed its own members by allowing trans women to be degendered and non-binary members to be repeatedly misgendered by caucus leadership when they asked only to be respected. 1/

On April 22, 2026, the DFL Code of Conduct Committee dismissed these cases. What they cannot dismiss is the harm done, or the values of our community. 2/

I’m a (mostly) white, cis, het, middle class woman. The DFL literally courts my vote. And this kind of pathetic cowardice is exactly why they can’t secure my support or donations. I’m not 5 fucking years old. If you’re too cowardly to call in your own you’re too weak for the fight ahead.

the Minnesota DFL CoC committee has made an egregious ruling today that disenfranchises SD60 DFL organizing unit, the delegates (my neighbors) from SD60 DFL, my students, public education and my union. i will fight this ruling at every level.

Code of Conduct Committee says that transphobia and hitting and killing a teenager with your car then lying about it is ok, but speaking about those things is very wrong

Also I should note that they are attempting to quash discussion of these matters by appending a note on their emails that reads: "This email and any attached documentation is not public information and must remain confidential as per the DFL Code of Conduct." The CoC says no such thing.

I am so livid about this, I can hardly find words. I am so fortunate to live in community with @dexanderson.com, who is more easily able to articulate what I am feeling. I’m proud to stand with Dex and vote for them at our upcoming CD5 convention.
