Sam deserves all of the flowers. I remember when this all was going down and I bought Chinese to their place because neither of us had ate that day. Absolute clusterfuck. Not to mention how Richard refused to help me when I was abandoned by our (former) unit chair and had to plan Ward 6 by myself

Our volunteers scrambled, found a lawyer, and won the case, btw. With no help from Richard, staff, or the party's lawyers. A total failure to support volunteers, not to mention the failure of duty of care and duty of loyalty by refusing to defend your own organization in court.

Which is why it's especially egregious when PAID party officials like @rcarlbom.bsky.social throw volunteers under the bus, like when the Republican-funded super PAC "We Love MPLS" paid to file a frivolous lawsuit against @mplsdfl.org, Richard refused to defend the local party in court.

This is really important to point out. One of the most critical functions of the DFL are the caucuses and conventions. These are entirely put on by VOLUNTEERS. Paid staff develop resources and checklists and are there to answer questions, but it's the volunteers who DO it.
