If you feel like you don't have enough time in your day to possibly help with patrols, consider that even 15min to drive through your own neighborhood makes a difference. You don't even have to stick around if you spot an ICE vehicle- communicate it to the active patrolers and keep going.

Today was a special one for me- one of my former coworkers lived her dream of starting a food truck last year. Unfortunately, with ICE making her neighborhood unsafe, she wasn’t able to operate the truck much the past 6 weeks. But today, we bought 300 tamales from her and got her family $1000.

I’m seeing more and more Minneapolis/Minnesota people naming that they are burned out and I just hope people allow themselves to change their pacing from sprint to marathon or better yet, a relay. Slow down if the alternative is you crashing out and not being able to do anything.

I'm proud AF of everyone doing really amazing stuff to help people and this includes especially those of you who can't talk about it. So many things are happening; the public stuff really is the very tip of a cool as hell iceberg that just wants to help people (awww, nice iceberg).

Out again today, and lots of water removal combined with ice chopping. Pro-tip: an ice chopper is also a pretty decent paddle to throw the water onto/over the boulevard. You think it can’t possibly work, but then suddenly the sidewalk is no longer submerged.

I used to walk into daycares and hand the mail to someone at the desk directly. All of them that I've been to in the last month have been locking their doors. It's such a small thing, but it hurts my heart that it has to be this way

yesterday I had the surreal experience of having someone (who lives here!!) tell me about all the things that they think people should be doing about ICE and I was just like.. that's already going on. All of it, every day. Its not even hard to find at this point

Dispatches from MN: ICE is still here, kidnapping neighbors multiple times a day. There are so few gov attorneys and so many ICE-related rights violations that a sizable chunk of the courts have basically gotten stuck. ICE ignores court orders to release detainees or says they can't find them.

It’s day 64 of the ICE occupation of MSP. Today ICE officers once again arrested observers at gunpoint, caused lockdowns of neighborhood schools, and harassed people on the street simply for their skin color. Nothing has changed, despite the rhetoric from “leaders.”

An (I’m assuming unpopular) thought I have been having is the importance of centering immigrants and refugees in our stories of this moment. When we center the stories of only observers, we get milquetoast. Do you know who is brave? The mom who is terrified to go to work accepting help.

The Minnesota @dfl.org precinct caucuses are February 3rd. LETS SAY THIS PART LOUDLY: There are no free and fair midterm elections in November if the people of MN are unable to participate in the selection of their candidates in February. We cannot participate freely with ICE in Minnesota.
