I’m writing this outside because I can’t bear to do so in the same room as her. Rose has not eaten for two weeks. I’ve tried all kinds of liquids, but she literally cannot eat — she will cry at her food dish, lean in for a sniff, then turns and goes directly into the bathroom.

It’s inoperable. I’m performing hospice care for Rose for as long as she has left. She’s only had half the life she deserved. We were supposed to grow old together.
