I know the Atlantic has less than zero standards and in fact is happy to have a professional racist and liar on its columnist list but I dare to suggest that maybe there should be some consequences for so obviously making up shit and for sectarian and racist reasons?

The notion that lemmings commit mass suicide during their migration season, by jumping off cliffs or drowning in bodies of water, is of course a myth. However, this behavior may actually be observed in another species: the Cybertruck owner.

What does it take for anyone in the Democratic Party to lose their job? The DNC chose Ken Martin over the most effective organizer of the last decade because he was a fundraiser. His fundraising has been atrocious. Then he gave the (very important!) job of the election autopsy to his dipshit friend?

It's about making it safe, efficient, and possible for those who want to bike. Getting more people out of cars benefits everyone, ESPECIALLY people who choose to and prefer to drive.

I already bike a lot, but the cool thing about getting an e-bike is that it's already helping me bike even more. I'm actively looking for opportunities to bike, both because the e-bike is so efficient, but also fun. I know I say it a lot, but e-bikes are an incredible tool for replacing car trips.

keep in mind that a lot of people thought democrats were too far left because they imagined democrats being obsessed with pronouns. and if you remember, they were not and that is at worst a petty annoyance. so the way people think of ideological boundaries is fairly incomprehensible and pointless.

i sometimes drive through rural areas with windmills and it is genuinely astonishing how much some people hate windmills. just an amazing accomplishment of propaganda, but i genuinely do not understand the reasoning even in their warped minds to justify such vitriolic hate.

Saw that NYT poll saying Americans want Dems in the center and, look, if you believe those fucking guys want the Ds to win and that they're not panicking seeing Gen ballot at Dems +11 and are trying to sandbag the party before the midterms, I don't know what to say.

Worth noting that this is actually a meta-question-- it's not "what policy do you think is good?" It's "what policy do you think other, imaginary people would think is good?" This encourages the "Everyone Think Like a Pundit Rather Than as a Citizen" disease that plagues political commentary.

Straight out of the fascist playbook of re-writing history. They're going to use the fact that January 6 insurrectionists were pardoned as "proof" that they didn't actually attack anyone and were wrongfully targeted.

i think it is worth considering how the republican party never chastised their base and they are more powerful than ever, meanwhile, democrats constantly eschew their base at the behest of people who want to turn the democratic party into the former republican party.
