Even the most lax voter ID laws require presentation of a non-picture voter registration card that has your name. Even by the terms of this silly analogy, he loses.

Sometimes I think doctors are getting revenge on being asked nearly verbatim questions to the ones they answered in their interrogatoties by making me fill out paperwork at the appointment I submitted a few days before the appointment.

The first thing I saw here was some tech bro arguing that he needs AI because it makes him feel like he is accomplishing more, so that's enough bluesky for today.

Paying the tech debt of laziness and slightly improved speed at the expense of redundancy is not fun. Especially when you've only reduced your database thar should probably be ~10-15k entries from 41k to 37k in 10 hours.

Just read someone's stock analysis that read like they were being hit by drips of cocaine mid-sentence. They'd get to the point of explaining why a badly performing market was going to turn around and instead of words, they just released a cacophony of sounds. It also explains their confidence.

If I ever hear a judge say to me "I could basically get a volume discount here on ethical issues" I would immediately start trying to open a vein with the first object I could put my hands on.

I've seen one guy demanding that no one criticize her because leaving this job could cost aa lot of money. If you made it through PR and thought that doing the ethical thing was going to be profitable, you should ask for a refund.

I may have a stroke. Someone said protests donât belong in church and it took every ounce of self-censure within me not to say âDeborah you are literally a Protestant.â A PROTESTant. I assume they think Luther was nailing Bed, Bath, & Beyond coupons to the door.

Aside from how obviously morally bankrupt they are, they are also terrible lawyers. Any lawyer with half a brain could have seen that this would be rejected by a judge.

Here is the newly-unsealed State Department memo confirming -- finally -- that the detention of Tufts student RĂŒmeysa ĂztĂŒrk was based on an op-ed. No antisemitic activity. No support of terrorism. An op-ed in a student newspaper.

Right: A lot of federal employees who were fired by "Article II" emails, and have no prospect of a fair hearing because SCOTUS has allowed purges of the Office of Special Counsel and the Merit Systems Protection Board, wonder why this standard does not apply to them.

This clearly is not going well for Trump, but it is very hard to hear the Republican Justices move toward an exception for the Fed when their reasoning in oral arguments applies just as well to other independent agencies. Why were they removed in such a hurried manner?
