Ooh that's cool. I tried one last year thanks to @mcbl.bike , first time on a bike in 40 years, it was great. If I get my garage cleaned out I may consider getting one. Would give me much more freedom of movement.

Today I reached peak South Minneapolitan levels. I rode a rental cargo bike (thanks @mcbl.bike) to Costco to buy donations which I then dropped off at Joyce Uptown Foodshelf. You can do all that too!

It’s bike check-in night and two of our borrowers had creative ways to get back home after dropping their bikes off! Other popular options include: -walk - @metrotransitmn.bsky.social -Lime bike/scooter -folding bike -ride share (Lyft) -getting a ride from a friend Which would you pick?

We don’t allow borrowers to transport our bikes via car for safety and liability reasons… But an unexpected benefit is the trip to check-out/check-in is often another prompt to help folks think more expansively about how they might want to complete local trips w/o driving a car of their own.

Last year, the @mcbl.bike helped 80 people replace 4,100 miles of car trips with bike trips in 6 months simply by providing free access to e-cargo bikes. In 2026, the size of our fleet has doubled and we’ve got plans to expand to Rochester, St. Paul and Duluth. Who else wants to join the party?

It's our last day with the @bunchbike.com from @mcbl.bike. For our last ride we took it to the vet to pick up some allergy medication for Pudge, then to Lake of the Isles dog park and bike trail. I'll definitely miss transporting our precious cargo when it's returned! Will definitely try another!

What a fantastic day! We ran into Luke from Perennial Cycle (twice, actually). My boyfriend delivered some of his locally made Red Eye Hot Sauce. We got to see some beautiful art. And finally, we visited a quaint little park on Kenilworth. Can't wait to check out another bike from @mcbl.bike

So, I just arrived at Lake Harriet with the Bunch Bike, and I see 2 people riding a bike that was clearly made for only 1 person. When they go by I yell "dang, you need one of these!" And 1 of them yells back "Can we borrow yours?" So obviously I yell "Yes, you can check out it from the @mcbl.bike!"

We like to use the terms "movement" and "staying active" vs "exercise" or "workout" because we do think it's healthier for us to use our bodies more but it does NOT need to be miserable or punitive or competitive or intimidating.

Thank you to everyone who joined our cargo bike test ride event yesterday! There were so many smiles, giggles, and “I need to get one of these” comments. 🚲 ❤️

If anyone has yet to experience the joy of cargo biking with their family, let me share this anecdote. We rode to Graco Park via West River Pkwy and had a great time. Then on our way back, just before the Cedar Lake Trl turnoff, my boyfriend goes "hey, maybe we can keep going a little further." 1/2

@mcbl.bike spotted in the wild. I stopped to say hello and it replied, “you can lock me up, but I’ll never be tamed!”

The moral of the story is that we both loved riding it so much that we kept saying "just a little farther, just a little farther" So, we both have to say thank you to @bunchbike.com and @mcbl.bike for a great start to the weekend, with more Bunch Bike adventures to come!
