Thanks for putting up with what is definitely an annoying flood of one specific topic on your timelines. We are in the midst of an emergency of opposition strategy: one of the few governors who has been outspoken against this administration is currently betraying us by collaborating with ICE.

it's really funny for the dev team to talk about the TOS as if it's some sort of natural objective truth and not a list of rules they made up that they could change at any time

This culture is broken, it's not just a problem with our government. America has a sick culture. The vulnerable are really hated to the bone as common sentiment. All mad people know this & all poor people know this. The country refuses to interrogate its antiblackness whose cruelty has only morphed.

I'm not delusional about this but I do think it's beyond hypocritical for the governor to have been telling people to protest and then to see this. The governor is more accountable to me than the ISP are so I figured might as well do something within my immediate ability

I just called the governor's office because I'm deeply concerned with what I am seeing at Broadview today, with Illinois State Police detaining people who are doing what the governor has been telling Illinoisans to do: protesting and filming federal agents

In case you're wondering whether the TRUST Act will protect anyone: Border patrol just attacked press and protesters inside ISP's designated "free speech zone" and the state police reacted by immediately establishing a protective perimeter for the feds

I cannot express enough how this is what has been happening for some time in Broadview. Federal agents assault, shoot chemical munitions at, and arrest protesters completely unprovoked. And state police are now helping border patrol to combat and arrest protesters. Great work everyone.

There are four images of POC. The three which include Black men are all based on them doing sports. The fourth is an Asian American in the west point video who looked like he was included by accident. Most of the images are from the 70s and 80s and so is the music which is when Trump was young.

It's important to note that penning people in to "free speech zones" & rolling out state/local cops in riot gear is a move that always ends with them being heavy-handed/escalating situations with protesters, but allows the state to change the narrative to "bad" protesters deserving harm.

Griffith was found guilty of failure to disperse and fined $50. That's unconstitutional -- even the DOJ recognizes journalists' right to cover how law enforcement disperses protesters. But it also shows what a giant waste of taxpayer funds it is to prosecute journalists for doing their jobs.

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.

To have the mod team look the other way on, or actively encourage, abusive behavior by people who try to harm this community, feels like a betrayal of the communities who kept this place's lights on and made it a place people wanted to congregate.
