Last night, 100s came out to remember, honor, and center the victims of yesterday’s devastating mass shooting at Annunciation. A beautiful vigil that should never have had to be held.

An 8 and a 10 year old are no longer with us and 17 more people were injured or are fighting for their lives because of this senseless act of gun violence. We must do all that we can to support the victims and all who love them and work to create a world where this can never happen again.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE. This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined. It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

The final vote on Trump’s bill is a travesty for anyone who believes in decency, fairness, & investing in the future. It has consequences for MN, & we will very likely need a special session before next Feb to deal w/ it. This is a major blow. But we cannot give up hope or give up the fight.

The grief for the Hortmans has been a lot as has grappling with the political violence that took place in MN.
