To put it in perspective for my local folks, there's more NG troops in DC than there were ICE agents in all of Minnesota this winter and DC is about to same size as Minneapolis. The folks I follow in DC see armed soldiers barking at civilians literally everywhere.

It is hard, as a Minnesotan, to see the resources expended on the arrests and charges here and at Cities Church while officers who shot and killed our community members continue to walk free. To know that immigration enforcement has billions of dollars while folks in community struggle to pay rent.

ICE observers in Minneapolis have begun receiving visits from FBI agents sent to intimidate them. A close friend-combat vet, mother, no criminal record-who was a volunteer observer during the ICE crisis, had a visit and was threatened for taking photos and videoed, claiming that filming was illegal.

Feds already know they came to your door, but your community and movement lawyers don’t know to support you unless you tell them. They want us to stay quiet, scared and isolated. Be loud, brave, and together

I want to emphasize that federal harassment is an expected response, and people shouldn’t live in fear or paranoia. Be smart, be prepared. Don’t talk to them, don’t let them in. Let people know if they come to you; this is counterintuitive, but being public about it helps keep you safer!
