I talk in my sleep when I'm in pain, and I have been so chatty lately! So much so that I called out my husband's name in my sleep last night and I was lucid enough to respond to his "what" with "nothing, I'm asleep."

I'm forever grateful to all the people out there doing the Good Work of reading all those texts and emails and then summarizing them for the rest of us. Not because we're dumb, but because we don't need that rot in our brain.

The lines at Krispy Kreme are SO LONG. The walk-up wraps around the building and the drive-up is politely wrapped around the parking lot. The husband thought I'd want to bail once I saw the line. Little did he know I had prepared our favorite podcast for the wait... ☺️

Reported a bot this morning, a very obvious bot, who was impersonating a military colonel and bot was gone before I left his profile. That was kind of wild, though. The posts were all pictures of a guy in uniform. Yikes.

Okay, and so maybe I'm a nerd for historical buildings because I started early. I volunteered for the historical society with Gram, and did re-enactments with daddy. Right now is my favorite time of year for the one of my favorite historical buildings, the O'Connor House, back home.

Today I'm ignoring everything in the present except my own literal dirty laundry, which I am washing, thankyouverymuch. But I *am* digging into the history of my neighborhood! VERY FASCINATING!!! Minneapolis is so fun.

Had a dream last night that I was back working at Isles Bun and it was hilarious. After years of education as a psychologist, being a barista again in a dream was a trip. I was giving everyone free therapy with their coffee order.

Happy birthday to the Father of Minneapolis Parks, Charles M. Loring! I live and work within walking distance of Loring Park - one gorgeous park downtown! - and because of him all lakes in Minneapolis are accessible to the public, instead of turned into private land and golf courses.

Went out to the Eagle Lake MAS Observatory for some dark sky with the husband and the bff. Stopped at the Uptown Kowalski's (plug) and then ate dinner. Wow so many stars. Worth it for just that. But just as we were giving up we turned around for one last look and... stayed for another hour.

I live on Franklin, and my end of the street construction timeline keeps getting pushed back and back because they want to time it with the Lyndale reconstruction. Sigh. I just want the high speed accidents to stop, y'know? And for cyclists and scooters to have a safe space away from pedestrians.

When I first moved here, my friend @mrbispo.bsky.social made fun of me for always looking up - I don't drive, so much better for looking! Minneapolis is gorgeous, and there are details you won't see if you don't. I never stopped looking up. Nighttime is when it really shines ✨️
