Rob Reiner made some great movies but he was also unafraid to speak the truth, and was one of the public voices who knew you don’t squander your platform, and only got louder about opposing evil fucks as he got older. Legend.

RIP to Rob Reiner and his wife. Reiner was one of the masters of the crowd pleaser, crafting the kind of films that are somehow both rare to see in contemporary cinemas and yet endlessly copied. This is such a brutal and tragic loss.

Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.

Seeing reports that Peter Greene had died. The one-two of LAWS OF GRAVITY and CLEAN, SHAVEN to launch his film career (with a memorable PULP FICTION scene not long after) is about as good a start as any actor’s ever had.

As far as the villainous scumbag corner of character actors goes, Peter Greene was the cream of the crop.
