Going to do a short thread of some critics and writers that I love and hope you'll give a look at. First, Walter Chaw (@mangiotto.bsky.social) is a film critic whose work I hold in especially high regard. He just has such an excellent way with words — always able to paint a picture of his focus.

Sometimes the only thing that keeps me from jumping off this carousel is the fear no one will remember me this way: with kindness and admiration and eloquence.

Just wrapped the 1st Highlands-Cashiers Film Fest. A labor of love of my dear friend Alison's. I was happy to help where I could. We showed classics and new flicks over four days in the beautiful hills of NC. I hung out w/old friends and new. Illeana Douglas, Bob Hoffman, Steve Poster, Cate Wyler.
