END OF DAYS rules. Schwarzenegger makes a coffee/Pepto Bismol/Chinese takeout/pizza smoothie for breakfast and gets his ass kicked in hand-to-hand combat with Miriam Margolyes, and Gabriel Byrne punches a hole through Udo Kier's head, and Mark Margolis plays the Pope.

It is entirely understandable to leave Twitter because it's rife with nazis. But are Bsky users who smugly claim people still on Twitter are 'okay' with nazis and Musk, by extension, admitting that they're okay with Bsky's digital ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Is that how simple the world is.

Speaking for myself, I left Twitter to ensure Musk doesn't make a cent off me. And I naively hoped Bluesky could change, but that hope has diminished to almost nothing. I'm not morally at peace with any almost any Internet-based resource I routinely use, but I'm also completely spent.

Got some interesting and probably fair feedback that I should make this point w/out mentioning how Cameron wouldn't do this to Black people. Heard that. I want to say I'm pointing out general hypocrisy & not a belief Black culture has it "better." I try to get at it w/the All Lives jab, but.. heard.

I picked up volume 2 of the Larry Fessenden 4Ks (with WENDIGO and THE LAST WINTER), and I have to say they're among my favourite releases of the year. Pure pleasure revisiting these films, in transfers that have an unfathomable vibrancy. (Two of them--HABIT and NO TELLING--I had only seen on VHS.)

Perform empathy. Please. Perform the fuck out of it. It's so good to act with kindness. I hope it penetrates to a place where you feel it, too, but if you must act some way, act the right way. I'm not here to judge your authenticity, I just want you to be kind, thoughtful, and mortified by meanness.
