possibly my most controversial opinion that I am very sure of and which I think could not publish like this in the UK press (plus, under the line: a great documentary, podcast and parrot news)

Polite Society is on Film4, Wednesday night at 9pm and I'd hugely recommend it: teenage would-be stuntwoman plots to stop her older sister's wedding, having decided the bridegroom is secretly evil. Enormous fun - this was my NYE film a couple of years ago.

Quite impressed with the integration of the "pay your tax return" page. Scan a QR code from the .gov.uk website, it opens my bank app, the correct details and reference ID are already filled in for me to just approve.

Made a silly mistake in checking what size of this jumper has the correct width, but not checking the length. Is not cropped, the designer is just 5'1!

Off to AO3 to see if there's any fic where Murderbot and Breq have a nice chat about not being robots but maybe sometimes it's easier if people kind of think you're a robot.

"Deceptive behaviour is something we can look for with the Traitors right?" Not really? Not pointless deception? Why would a Traitor want a shield more than they wanted money in the prize pot? Especially when there's the risk of people finding out and thinking you're a bit of a dick.

People need to remember that "I'm not a Traitor" doesn't mean someone is right. Just like "if I die it was Sarah" isn't reliable.

personally I think that in a world with reproductive freedom, there will always be a majority of people who are deeply genuinely drawn to have kids and who love children, and there will also always be a large minority of people who go ânah, no thanks, I would prefer to do other thingsâ

Youâre rightâswallowing the bird was a half-measure. The bird did eat the spider, as planned, but now you have a bird in you. It reminds you of swallowing the spider to catch the fly. Youâre seeing the pattern. Would you like me to suggest some animals which could eat the bird?
