Lovely little cafe opened up near us. Gail and I like to give them a bit of business. Called in today and it was full, good to see. Not so good to see were two women sat there for half an hour, coffee drained, not moving for anyone. We got a seat in the end and Gail gave them the “shit eye”.

Only 99p on Kindle today: my eleventh novel, the imaginatively-named Number 11. (Which, in order to achieve better sales, I should really have called What a Carve Up 2: the Return of the Winshaws.) This is the one Ken Loach read and said he wouldn't film because 'I don't really do giant spiders'.

There's some really lovely stuff on here if you need a gift for someone or just want to treat yourself (like I did). The cards are brilliant so I've gone for a mystery pack this time and a new mug.
