Packing up this A3 giclée print for a long trip to Australia :)

After spending time concentrating on my print shop and experimenting with new/old media, I'm keen to get stuck into some illustration projects again. To ease myself in, I've been putting mock ups together of existing work. I'm really pleased how this one has turned out.

My husband @mjowen174.bsky.social really needs some work. AI has had a very detrimental effect on his earnings this year. ChatGTP doesn’t have bills to pay and doesn’t have to worry constantly. Please repost far and wide because I don’t like to see ‘Sad Matt’

I'm having an impromptu sale of old stock on my instagram stories this afternoon. Some are seconds, some old designs, others just printed on different paper. Most of these will be priced just to cover p&p and admin. Sale starts at 1pm If you don't follow me you can find me @julia_allum

Another of my gouache experiments. Again, not great. It's so unforgiving and tricky. Nevertheless I'm really enjoying doing these. Its lovely to be creating something away from a screen for a change 🙂

That's the last of the little blue tit cards flying the nest. I have a few other birds still available in this A6 size, before stock gets replaced with a new style.

Painting no.2 This was much easier with new brushes, and I'm starting to gauge the necessary consistency better. A long way to go, but I can see improvement already 🙂 On to number 3...

This has been a fun little exercise. I haven't painted with gouache for 30 odd years & I'd forgotten how hard it is! I need a LOT of practice, but I shall persevere as I thoroughly enjoyed the process 🙂
