Today I was at the BBC Written Archives Centre, and For Reasons was reading a lot of early audience reaction documents for Blake's 7. Guess what? Contemporary audiences praised the special effects. Yes, *those* special effects. 🧵

Every so often I get a pang of sadness that we only ever got four seasons of #Blakes7 and it beggars belief - rights issues aside - that there's never been a successful revival of it. I mean, who would want to watch a diverse group of amoral outlaws take on a repressive fascist regime these days?
