Learning that the abundance of Thai restaurants around the world is a direct result of the government of Thailand doing a sort of restaurant diplomacy makes me wonder why America can’t just do that, why can’t we make the burger to end all burgers instead of Henry Kissinger 2

When we talk about Baby Boomers not getting off the stage: In 1997, the US president was born in 1946. In 2007, the US president was born in 1946. In 2017, the US president was born in 1946. And next year in 2027? The US president will have been born in 1946.

DOJ's recent 6th Circuit filing misspelled: Voters as “Votors” Emergency as "Emeregency" United States as "United Staes" And, it included a non-party in the caption. These are the people who want access to your sensitive voting records and who my team fights in court every day.

Discworld QOTD, from Jingo “History was full of the bones of good men who'd followed bad orders in the hope that they could soften the blow. Oh, yes, there were worse things they could do, but most of them began right where they started following bad orders.”

No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.

in public, the men's hockey team has been supportive of the women's team, going to games, cheering them on, saying they were inspired by the OT golden goal must be gutting to feel that support and then get first-hand evidence that behind closed doors, when it's just The Boys, they're laughing at you

The last time I bought a new mattress, the guy at the store encouraged me to buy a cover (which I was planning to do anyway). It was hilarious listening to him try to list every OTHER reason it helps keep things cleaner/fresher/etc. without ever mentioning sex. We all know, my friend. It's fine.

Alysa Liu telling 60 Minutes “I love struggling, it makes me feel alive” is a legit revolutionary statement from a Bay Area native in a time when copious amounts of time and resources are being put toward convincing us to opt out of experiencing struggle, friction and self-actualization

I am very annoyed that people think 'rich' means 'that guy has a mercedes and takes a vacation to italy once a year' and not 'that guy has more money than 40% of the world combined and can decide to start or stop wars based on his personal prejudices' the sums involved are incomprehensible
